Chestnut Drying House

The Chestnut Drying House (also called the house on the edge of the woods) was the last house bought by the Manetti family.

Its hilltop location bordering with the woods ensures enviable panoramic views. It presides over two fields in which organic barley, rape and wheat grow.

In times gone by chestnuts were laid out to dry inside the house for the proprietors of the San Leonino Castle. The castle’s chapel, built in 1882 and recently restored by the Manetti family is located along the road leading to the house.

The Chestnut Drying House can accommodate up to 7 people and comprises an entrance hall/sitting room with open plan kitchenette (four gas hob burner, fridge and oven), three double bedrooms and one single bed, bathroom with shower.

It is approximately 80 square meters in size. An external cubby hole has been kitted out as a fully equipped laundry room with a washing machine for guests’ use.
